Job Summary
Manufacturing General Site Manager (Syspro ERP) , Benoni, Rneg + ben
- Qualification in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or Business Management.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Demonstrated experience managing a highly mechanised plant with responsibility for production, maintenance, quality and operational performance.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and process optimisation principles.
- Sound financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, production planning and cost management.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Syspro or a similar ERP system.
- Working knowledge of South African labour legislation, health and safety requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
- Proven leadership capability with a track record of building, managing and developing high-performing teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the overall site operation to achieve production, quality, service, cost and safety targets.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, waste reduction, process optimisation and disciplined performance management.
- Manage site resources effectively, including labour, materials, equipment and overheads, to optimise productivity and profitability.
- Oversee maintenance planning and execution to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, statutory requirements, company policies and health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop and lead a capable workforce through effective structure, succession planning, training, coaching and employee engagement.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets, forecasts and performance plans for the site.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business priorities, customer requirements and supply chain performance.
- Contribute to site strategy by identifying risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives that support long-term growth.
