We are seeking a results-driven Production Foreman to spearhead the daily operations of our manufacturing department. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, managing a high-performing technical team, and ensuring all production milestones are met with precision. The successful candidate will be responsible for workflow optimization, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and implementing strategic process improvements to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
Production Oversight: Manage end-to-end daily production cycles to ensure the timely delivery of goods in line with organizational KPIs.
Target Achievement: Monitor and maintain consistent output targets, adjusting workflows dynamically to meet demand.
Efficiency Analysis: Track production line efficiencies and implement data-driven solutions to enhance overall productivity.
Reporting: Provide comprehensive and regular updates to senior management regarding project progress and operational bottlenecks.
Workforce Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage workshop staff, including the proactive management of Time and Attendance to ensure maximum labor utilization.
Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide daily feedback to staff to maintain a culture of accountability.
HR Collaboration: Oversee disciplinary procedures in conjunction with the HR department, ensuring adherence to company labor policies.
Staff Development: Conduct weekly tool checks and monthly Toolbox Talks to ensure the team is equipped and informed.
Quality Control (QC): Perform rigorous inspections of manufactured goods before handover to downstream departments; implement corrective actions for any substandard products.
Material Management: Audit material usage and ensure all offcuts and scrap are processed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Inventory Accuracy: Oversee Bill of Quantities (BOQ) accuracy regarding material draw-downs and lead monthly stock-take initiatives.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to Health and Safety (H&S) policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Asset Management: Conduct weekly safety and maintenance inspections of all production machinery and tools to prevent downtime and ensure operator safety.
Proven Supervisory Experience: The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of managing a production team and overseeing daily workshop operations to meet output targets.
Quality & Process Control: Absolute proficiency in conducting quality assessments, identifying production bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high standards.
Health, Safety, & Maintenance Oversight: A non-negotiable requirement to enforce OHS policies, conduct weekly machinery safety checks, and lead monthly toolbox talks for the staff.
Material & Financial Accountability: Experience in managing material usage, accurately updating Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for production errors, and overseeing scrap management systems.
Administrative & HR Competency: The ability to manage labor-related tasks, including signing off timesheets, reviewing staff performance, and handling disciplinary issues in collaboration with HR.
