QUALITY ENGINEER

Role Purpose:

Identifying quality issues, establishing containment, developing, and implementing countermeasures to ensure acceptable quality for company products and parts. Performs activity related to the development, implementation, operation, and documentation pertaining to maintaining quality for company parts.

Duties:

• Control quality policies, procedure, system and standards in the plant
• Instructing production employees in quality-relevant aspects of assigned components and production processes
• Carrying out regular product and process audits according to VDA6.5 and 6.3
• Maintenance of Process Flow Chart, Control Plan and FMEA
• To ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environment are met at all stages of the process
• Manage and conduct receiving inspection
• Experience in 3D scanning
• Ability to read customer drawings
• Planning and implementation of sampling activities for changes and relocations after series handover
• Conducting MSA, SPC and PPAP
• Processing of customer complaints (0km as well as warranty) in the corresponding customer system
• Conducting root cause analysis with: 5why, Ishikawa and 8D
• All other tasks that this job requires

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification plus min 3 years experience as per the above

Preventative Maintenance

• Ensuring The Proper Working Condition of equipment
• Achieve planned maintenance activities

• Plan and coordinate the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager, Shift Managers and Supervisors to schedule maintenance and project work.
• Coordinate and evaluate outside contractor maintenance work and shut downs
• Prepare and manage capital equipment installation projects.
• Oversee tradesmen performing project work.
• Assist in preparation of plant budget.
• Provide technical assistance to Plant Shift Managers and Supervisors
• Ensure inspection of equipment and machinery and recommend repair or replacement.
• Estimate time and material costs of repair or modification work.
• Initiate requisitions for necessary equipment materials, rental equipment or contracted
• Review operating reports and inspection records to identify faulty equipment.
• Maintain a computerized maintenance management system.
• Train personnel in the use of predictive maintenance equipment.
• Take ownership of full Maintenance function and Management of Personnel

Position will provide HR Generalist support and advice to ensure effective & efficient delivery of HR service to management, Trade Unions and all employees. To ensure Compliance and fair implementation of the companies HR Policies & Procedures as well as compliance with Industry Agreements and the country’s Labour Legislation

• Strong HR Administration (High level Excel competence. Taking Minutes, scheduling various meetings such Monthly & Quarterly Shop Steward/Management, Employment Equity & Skills Development, HR report writing, etc.)
• Proven Track Record: dealing with NUMSA
• CCMA/Dispute Resolution Centre: Proven track record in preparing Bundles (Employer, Witnesses and Applicant/NUMSA)
• Planning: someone who can prioritize and handle simultaneously multiple HR tasks/Projects. Managing own time.
• Communication: dealing with day-to-day Communication at levels from Shop-floor to Senior Management
• Delivery driven/Results Orientated: must understand that deadlines must be met and are not negotiable

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Human Resources Qualification
• At least 5 years experience in an HR role from manufacturing environment

We have an opportunity for an Production Admin Clerk to join our team in East London (Quenera North) on a contract basis.

Job Description

• Responsible for attending to customers as point of sales and telephonic sales
• Assisting sales rep with queries
• Doing all production admin functions and stock takes (Raw, finished goods) and engineering
• Responsible for despatch
• Must adhere to the Health and Safety policies
• Be at your workstation 5 minutes prior to the start of production
• Follow 3 simple rules – LOOK, THINK, ACT
• Ensure onsite customer services queries and issues are resolved to an exceptional standard
• Provide continuously and professionally feedback on stock, generally follow up and feedback on new developments
• Assist with walk in customers professionally as they enter the office
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
• Manage safety together with the plant manager.
• Identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of your work and take corrective action to minimize these
• Wear personal protective clothing provided by the company
• Escalate any safety issue within their work area
• Hand out PPE to customers and visitors
