Qualification
- Matric / Senior Certificate
- Diploma or certificate in Production, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field – advantageous
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Experience working in a Factory / Assembly line / Production facility
- Excellent PC skills (incl. Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and handles conflict successfully and effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly
- Methodical, with an ability to work under pressure whilst being attentive to detail, with the capacity to multitask, must be able to use own initiative, and be a team player
Duties
- Capturing daily production stats by product, machine, individual;
- Reviewing and verifying data including resolving discrepancies with relevant production personnel;
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all production records;
- Maintain product datafiles, raw material records, machine records etc.
- Compiling daily, weekly, and monthly production reports;
- Report on performance against - Production targets (units, output, throughput); Productivity (per individual, machine, and department) and Efficiency metrics;
- Analyzing production trends and identify deviations from targets;
- Monitor and report on wastage;
- Record and analyze Machine downtime;
- Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor;
- Supporting the Production Team Leaders & Supervisors;
- Ensure that Quality Management standards are adhered to at all times
- Performing stock counts and managing stock
- Housekeeping
- Identifying and implementing improvements to the Production processes
- Maintains the company’s Safety, Housekeeping and Quality Standards. Incumbents will be subject to mandatory testing for Alcohol and/or drugs on a random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow up basis.
- Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, well-being and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies.
