Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, hands-on and reliable Boilermaker to join our Workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication, welding, maintenance, and repair work on steel structures, machinery, and agricultural equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Trade Test Certificate as a Qualified Boilermaker
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fabrication, welding, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Arc and CO2 welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions
- Good communication skills in English or Afrikaans
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to work under pressure, overtime, weekends, and public holidays
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport advantageous
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair steel structures and equipment
- Perform welding on machinery, vehicles, tractors, and feedlot infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
- Work closely with mechanics, supervisors, and workshop staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
