Job Summary
Senior Quality Controller required for a well-established manufacturing company within the corrugated / packaging sector. The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance processes across raw materials, production, and finished goods while ensuring strict compliance with food safety and manufacturing quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000 and ISO quality systems
- Ensure all products meet quality and customer specifications
- Conduct and supervise quality testing procedures including:
- ECT / BCT testing
- Moisture analysis
- Bond strength testing
- Analyse quality trends and recurring defects
- Lead non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
- Work closely with production to reduce waste and improve quality output
- Verify printing and die-cutting accuracy
- Manage junior QC staff and training
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Food Technology or related field
- 5+ years’ experience within corrugated, paper, packaging or manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or senior QC experience essential
- Strong knowledge of:
- FSSC 22000
- HACCP
- ISO quality systems
- ERP/Sage and advanced Excel experience advantageous
- Strong reporting and analytical ability

Salary:
R18,000 per month negotiable dependent on experience
