A well-established business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational performance of the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple departments, driving operational efficiency, implementing processes and ensuring the business operates effectively and profitably.
Reporting directly to the Directors, this role requires a strong leader who is comfortable managing teams, driving accountability, improving systems and ensuring departmental KPIs are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Management
• Oversee Sales, Administration, Accounts, Stock Control, Order Processing, Dispatch and Customer Service functions
• Manage and support departmental supervisors
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments
• Drive accountability and performance within teams
Process & Systems Management
• Design, implement and improve operational workflows
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements
• Drive automation and system enhancements where appropriate
Stock Control & Inventory Management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and stock availability
• Oversee stock control procedures and cycle counts
• Manage re-order processes and stock turn performance
• Minimize stock losses and shrinkage
Order Fulfilment & Customer Service
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently
• Monitor dispatch turnaround times
• Manage backorder processes and customer communication
• Ensure a high standard of customer service delivery
Performance & KPI Management
• Monitor departmental KPIs and operational performance
• Conduct performance reviews and staff development initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across all operational areas
• Ensure departmental objectives align with company goals
Business Improvement & Strategic Execution
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives
• Execute strategic decisions made by management
• Support business growth through operational excellence
Requirements:
• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Management role
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience managing multiple departments simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong systems, process improvement and operational management experience
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement corrective action
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the front

Salary: Negotiable / Depending on experience
