The SA Steelworks Shipping department requires a committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their team. The successful applicant will be responsible for ,but not limited to grinding of billets in preparation for export.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Grinding of Billets using a big angle grinder
• Assisting the shipping team when required
• Housekeeping - Ensuring the cleanliness of all workstations and areas
• Assisting with Ad hoc duties
• Any other work tasks as operationally required

Qualifying requirements:
• Grade 12
• Knowledge of hand tools
• Experience working with Power tools
• Previous experience in the same or similar role (advantageous)
• Familiar with health and safety rules and regulations

Qualifying attributes:
• Hardworking and self-motivated
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required
• Physically Fit (able to handle materials, tools etc.)
• Able to work in a team and independently
• Honest and reliable
• Willing to learn
• Punctual
• Ability to multitask and manage a demanding workload in a pressurized environment
