- Ensuring Accuracy: Verify that the right products, quantities, and sizes are being packed,
- Sealing and Labeling: Seal packages securely labels, barcodes
- Inspection for Damage: Inspect the items for damage or defects before packing and report any issues to the supervisor or quality control.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet company standards and specifications before packaging, including checking for proper labeling and correct products.
- Adhering to Safety Regulations: Follow workplace safety standards ensure that the workspace remains clean and hazard-free.
- Tools and Equipment Used:
- Packing materials (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, shrink film, etc.)
- Labeling tools (labeling machines)
- Scales for weighing
- Cartons, crates, or pallets for organizing packed goods
- PPE (personal protective equipment), like gloves and safety glasses
- Fillers primarily focus on filling containers (such as cans , bottles, bags, or boxes) with products, They ensure that each container is filled to the correct level and properly sealed.
- Filling Containers: Operate machines or manually fill containers (e.g., bottles, cans, boxes, or bags) with products
- Quality Control: Check filled products for consistency, correct levels, and accuracy. Ensure that products are free from contamination or defects.
- Sealing and Labeling: After filling, ensure that containers are properly sealed, capped, or closed to prevent spillage or contamination. Apply the correct labels and batch numbers.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials, such as containers, caps, or fillers
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean equipment and the filling area regularly to avoid contamination and ensure that machines are functioning properly.
- Monitoring Machine Operation: In settings with automated machines, monitor the filling equipment for malfunctions or irregularities and report issues to maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols for handling machinery and products, particularly when dealing with hazardous materials or chemicals.
