JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT – EPPING INDUSTRIAL (OFFICE BASED)X4

Salary: R14 000 – R17 000 per month

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Accountant to join a fast-paced environment based in Epping Industrial. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with solid foundational experience looking to grow within a dynamic team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting / Finance qualification (Certificate or Diploma essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced – Pivot Tables essential)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Reliable transport

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the processing of bank transactions, petty cash, sales invoices, and purchase invoices
• Support bank and petty cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Assist in foreign bank and petty cash revaluations
• Help with the matching and reconciliation of supplier accounts and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating depreciation
• Support the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet items such as net pay and income tax accounts
• Assist with income statement adjustments in line with internal company policies
• Support the preparation of accruals and prepayments
• Conduct general ledger investigations and assist in resolving discrepancies
• Preparing financial reports and Excel-based analysis
• Assist with monthly management accounts
• Debtors and creditors reconciliations
• VAT calculations and submissions support
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Provide assistance with ad hoc administrative tasks including filing, copying invoices, and updating Excel records

Training & Development:

• Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure a thorough understanding of the company’s in-house accounting system
