Guide & Back-up Trails Guide / Relief Management – Waterberg
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Guide and Back-up Trails Guide with the ability to assist with relief management at a luxury safari lodge in the Waterberg, Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile hospitality professional with strong guiding skills, a commitment to guest satisfaction and the ability to support lodge operations when required.
Key responsibilities:

Conduct engaging and informative game drives, ensuring memorable guest experiences.

Assist with walking safaris and back-up trails guiding, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

Share in-depth knowledge of the local wildlife, flora and fauna, and the surrounding ecosystem.

Assist with daily lodge operations and provide relief management support when required.

Maintain high standards of guest service, professionalism and communication.

Work closely with the lodge team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Uphold all guiding, safety and lodge operational standards.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Field Guide, with relevant guiding qualifications.

Back-up trails guiding experience and the necessary qualifications would be advantageous.

Previous lodge management or supervisory experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A professional, flexible and guest-focused approach.

The ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements.

A passion for wildlife, conservation and the luxury safari industry.
Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month, depending on experience.
