Role Overview: Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to join a luxury lodge in Touws River. This hands-on role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for maintaining exceptional operational standards within a luxury hospitality environment. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will assist in overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing contractors and projects, and maintaining the lodge’s facilities, fleet, and equipment to the highest standards. ? Requirements: • Matric certificate • Relevant maintenance qualifications and certificates • Valid Driver’s Licence • First Aid Level 3 certification • Strong knowledge of building maintenance and safety compliance • Firefighting experience (Crew Leader/Crew Boss, including grass fires) • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transformers, and generators • Previous experience within hospitality, lodge, or similar operational environments advantageous • Strong leadership and team management skills ? Key Responsibilities: • Assist in overseeing maintenance operations across accommodation, public areas, buildings, and equipment • Manage contractors, maintenance projects, and budgets effectively • Ensure compliance with OHS regulations, fire safety requirements, and lodge safety standards • Control maintenance stock, tools, equipment, and procurement processes • Oversee fleet servicing, maintenance schedules, and reporting • Supervise, mentor, and develop maintenance team members • Maintain high standards of operational safety and environmental responsibility • Support preventative maintenance programmes and daily operational requirements ?
