Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide for a luxury safari lodge based in Touws River. This is an exciting opportunity for a nature-driven individual who is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest safari experiences in a high-end wilderness environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading guided game drives, interpreting wildlife and ecosystems, and ensuring guests receive a safe, informative, and unforgettable safari experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided game drives and bush walks (where applicable)
- Deliver engaging and informative wildlife interpretation and guest experiences
- Ensure guest safety and adherence to all conservation protocols
- Maintain safari vehicles, equipment, and operational readiness
- Share knowledge of fauna, flora, and ecosystems with guests
- Provide exceptional guest interaction and personalised safari experiences
- Assist with lodge operations when required
Requirements:
- FGASA qualification (or equivalent) essential
- Valid PDP and driver’s licence
- First Aid certification
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills
- Passion for conservation, wildlife, and hospitality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings
- Previous guiding experience in a luxury lodge environment advantageous
