Role Overview: Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant in Stellenbosch. Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful candidate will play a key leadership role in maintaining the restaurant’s high culinary standards while supporting kitchen operations, team development, and menu execution. ? Requirements: • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie within a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training • Strong culinary skills with exceptional attention to detail • Solid understanding of kitchen operations, stock control, and food costing • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences • Own transport and valid driver's licence required ? Key Responsibilities: • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation • Support menu execution using seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients • Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff • Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management • Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards • Contribute to menu development and special dining experiences • Support operational efficiency while encouraging creativity and innovation in the kitchen ?
