Safari JOBS is searching for a warm, mature and well-presented Spa Therapist-Lodge Anchor to join a highly regarded Big 5 safari lodge environment, where personalised guest care, genuine hospitality and attention to detail are central to the guest experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for a qualified therapist who enjoys the balance of peaceful, guest-focused spa work together with the variety and energy of lodge life. The ideal candidate will be someone with a sparkling personality, a great sense of humour, natural confidence and the willingness to go the extra mile wherever needed. The role would suit an experienced, well-rounded and hands-on individual who is comfortable living and working in a remote safari setting, while forming part of a close-knit team where flexibility, independence and a positive attitude are essential. You will need to be guest-focused, practical, organised and able to create a calm, professional and welcoming experience for lodge guests. This is not a role for someone who wants to remain behind the scenes. It is best suited to a people’s person who takes pride in service excellence, enjoys engaging with guests, and is happy to assist across different areas of the lodge when operationally required. For the right candidate, this position offers the chance to become part of a special safari environment, where no two days are exactly the same and where your contribution will be felt across both the spa and broader guest experience. ??????? ???????????? ??? ???????????? Clear criminal record; Excellent employment track record – references will be verified; Excellent English fluency (written & verbal) - non-negotiable; Somatology qualification – CIDESCO / ITEC / SAASPH; Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospitality environment; Previous experience / an understanding of working in a 5* safari lodge environment – advantage; Basic computer literacy / Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel experience – advantage; ResRequest experience - advantage; Valid driver’s licence; Spa product experience; Able to live in / reside on site for 6 weeks on (2 weeks off / away) ?????????? ?????? In good physical & mental health; Highly presentable / take pride in your appearance; Organisational with multi-tasking skills; Resilient and flexible, Able to work under pressure. ??? ???????????????? ????????? / ????????????: Provide spa treatments including Massages, Manicures, Pedicures, Facials & Eye brow tinting; Sell service and products to guests; Maintain Health & Safety standards; Administrative duties pertaining to spa bookings; Ensuring that any relevant spa paperwork is up to date and orderly; Stock control and orders; ??????????? / ????? ??????: Process payments and compile invoices; Assistance in the curio shop; Assistance with Guest queries, check in / out, answering of telephones etc; Hosting of Guests and assisting in the bar when needed; General assistance to management; Assisting / checks of the housekeeping department etc. As part of a close-knit and highly collaborative team, flexibility and a hands-on approach will be essential. While the above provides a broad outline of the role, you may from time to time be required to assist with reasonable duties outside of your core responsibilities, in line with operational needs and the standards expected within a small, dynamic lodge environment. ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? Gross basic salary of approx. R8, 000.00 per month, NEG DOE & qualifications; Commission of 15% on procedures once the salary threshold has been covered; Gratuities - participation in the shared tip pool average R1, 500 – R3, 000.00 p/m; Annual bonus – based on company & individual performance, not guaranteed; Own room in staff village with bed, wardrobe etc. Sharing a communal bathroom and kitchen with 3 others; Basic food provisions are provided; Uniform: Provided & remain the property of the company- Uniforms damaged by negligence beyond normal wear will be charged for; Work Cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. ??????????? ???????
