Service Manager & Field Guide Couple - Boutique Luxury Safari Lodge - Timbavati, Greater Kruger Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an experienced Service Manager and Field Guide couple for an, intimate 5-star luxury safari lodge in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, forming part of the Greater Kruger ecosystem near Hoedspruit, Limpopo. With just a few beautifully appointed suites, an open-plan kitchen and multiple dining settings including communal table dining, bush breakfasts and boma evenings, food and safari experiences sit at the heart of this guest offering. This couple will bring complementary skills to one of the Lowveld's most exciting luxury properties. Start date: As soon as possible. Minimum Requirements: Service Manager Partner: Minimum 3 to 5 years' F&B management experience within a luxury lodge environment - essential and non-negotiable Strong credentials and a solid track record in luxury lodge F&B - this is not an entry-level role Proven ability to manage and maintain a kitchen and F&B operation to a high standard Experience managing kitchen staff, service teams and back-of-house operations Strong food and beverage knowledge including menu knowledge, beverage management and stock control Sound understanding of food costing, ordering and supplier management Full knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance Experience across multiple dining formats including bush dining and special events Excellent guest-facing and hosting skills befitting a 5-star environment Stable work history with outstanding, contactable references Field Guide Partner: FGASA NQF2 minimum - essential (NQF4 strongly preferred) Apprentice Trails Guide qualification - essential Lead Trails Guide qualification - advantageous Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) - essential Valid SAPS Firearm Competency - essential SASSETA registration - essential Valid First Aid certificate - essential Valid PrDP - essential NDT registration - essential Minimum 3 years' guiding experience in a Big Five luxury lodge environment Excellent guest engagement and interpretive skills Well-presented; professional and passionate about wildlife and the Lowveld Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: F&B Manager: Key Responsibilities * Oversee all Food & Beverage operations, including kitchen and bar. * Manage the kitchen and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. * Maintain exceptional food and beverage quality and presentation standards. * Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety. * Manage stock control, ordering and cost management for kitchen and bar. * Lead, train and motivate the kitchen and service teams. * Actively host guests and complete front of house duties, contributing to a warm and personal guest experience. * Deliver exceptional dining and beverage experiences for guests. Field Guide: Lead morning and evening game drives across the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger Conduct guided bush walks in line with qualifications and reserve protocols Deliver engaging, safe and personalised safari experiences for discerning guests Maintain vehicles, equipment and firearms to the required standard Ensure guest safety at all times during all activities Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications Live-in: Couple accommodation provided Meals on duty provided Should you both feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with both CVs, contactable references and recent head and shoulders photos ASAP! ?
