Senior Sous Chef – Luxury 5star Safari Lodge – Greater Kruger Area ➡️ Live-in Role | Salary: R18,000 – R22,000 Negotiable (DOE) Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and reliable Senior Sous Chef for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role is suited to a strong all-rounder with excellent kitchen leadership, consistency under pressure, and a passion for delivering high-quality lodge cuisine for discerning guests. Key Responsibilities • Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and service delivery • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring consistent standards and service flow • Assist with menu planning, plating standards, and quality control across all meal services • Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety compliance (HACCP principles advantageous) • Manage stock control, ordering, portion control, and wastage reduction • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, maintaining discipline and teamwork • Ensure dietary requirements and allergy procedures are handled professionally • Assist with reporting, stocktake, and kitchen administration Requirements • Formal culinary qualification • Minimum 3–5 years experience in a 5 star lodge, with Sous level experience • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team • Excellent time management, organisation, and attention to detail • Able to work under pressure in a remote, high-standard lodge environment • Professional conduct, reliability, and a positive team attitude Package • Salary: R18,000 – R22,000 (negotiable depending on experience) • Live-in accommodation provided • Meals provided on duty • Opportunity to grow within a luxury safari lodge environment To Apply Please submit your CV, contactable references, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
