Senior Sous Chef | Prestigious Private Members' Club | Lowveld, Mpumalanga Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Senior Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team of a prestigious private members' club situated in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented culinary professional who is passionate about fine dining, leadership and delivering consistently outstanding cuisine within one of South Africa's premier hospitality environments. ?️ Key Responsibilities ?? Support the Executive Chef with the day-to-day management of multiple kitchen operations. ? Supervise, coach and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff. ? Ensure adherence to reporting structures, operational procedures and company standards. ? Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation and portion control. ? Manage stock receiving, inventory control, ordering and supplier quality standards. ? Assist with menu planning and recipe development. ✅ Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP principles, SOPs and health & safety requirements. ? Maintain accurate operational records and standard operating procedures. ? Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment. ? Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the club, its members, guests and operations. ✅ Requirements ? Recognised culinary qualification. ?? Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within luxury hospitality, private clubs, boutique lodges, fine dining restaurants or other high-end culinary environments. ? Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills. ? Passion for fine dining and culinary excellence. ⚡ Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. ? Excellent stock control, administration and organisational skills. ?️ Sound understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP and Occupational Health & Safety requirements. ? Valid South African driver's licence (own transport advantageous). ? Willingness to live and work in the Malelane/Lowveld region. ? Contactable employment references. ? Package ? Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) ? Employer Provident Fund ?
