A high-paced, upmarket restaurant in Stellenbosch is looking for a passionate and energetic Junior / Floor Manager to join the team. We are seeking a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. REQUIREMENTS: Own reliable transport Age between 25 and 30 years Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English Residing in or near the Stellenbosch / Winelands area 2–3 years’ experience in a high-paced restaurant environment Well presented and professional Able to work under pressure Strong in communication and team leadership Guest-focused with excellent problem-solving skills Organised; reliable, and detail-oriented SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES: Maintain training and provide ongoing support for front-of-house staff, including product knowledge, service standards, safety, and daily operations Uphold food quality, correct portioning, hygiene, and cleanliness standards, while identifying and suggesting operational improvements where necessary Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards both staff and guests at all times Follow company procedures, monitor billing and staff attendance, report absenteeism, and assist with equipment control and maintenance Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods Ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for service, with adequate stock and equipment available Manage cash collection and ensure accurate cash-ups, taking accountability for any variances Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety standards, ensure clean uniforms, and report any risks or suspicious matters immediately Minimise losses resulting from wastage, breakage, theft, or negligence Maintain stock levels and ensure all guest items are correctly billed Conduct regular maintenance checks and ensure equipment is well maintained and operational If you are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a busy restaurant environment, we would love to hear from you.
