Scope
To be accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of solutions development and commercialization for the business as required, utilizing both existing and/or new technologies that operate together in an integrated manner, to meet the market needs. This will entail management, collaboration and optimization of partnerships and cross-functional teams of sales, marketing and operations to ensure overall balance is maintained between customer requirements and solutions development prioritization.
Key Responsibilities
· Translate customer business issues and opportunities into business requirements and technical solutions to influence product evolution to ensure requirements are implemented in the application and solutions stack;
· Focus on solution development and architectural design for existing and future customer base with specific emphasis on Ontec’s managed services and solutions portfolio;
· Active participating in building the solutions strategy of Ontec, while supporting the implementation through the sales environment;
· Work together with the sales team to develop customer specific plans linked to the solutions strategy;
· Author and deliver solution designs, proposals, presentations, pre-sales demonstration, including pricing input;
· Compile market intelligence with a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, including the ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiation between Ontec and its competitors;
· Determine the competitive average selling price (ASP) of products and solutions;
· Identify and recommend new business opportunities;
· Turnkey ownership of Ontec partner management including contractual, commercial and collaborative engagement in the design and development of customer centric solutions
· Ownership and management of all strategic product and solutions marketing activities
Key Requirements
· Proven experience in the related field and the utilities industry
· Applicable tertiary qualification
· Having an innovative mindset
· Excellent English verbal & written communication
· Interpersonal skills and the ability to form & manage relationships at all levels, both internally and externally (stakeholder management)
· Requires knowledge of the industry offerings in across multiple disciplines (electricity, water), including metering, telecommunications, managed services, IT, security, and IoT strategies;
· Possess strong presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations with customers and tailor content to audience as appropriate
