Job Summary
PRIME PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide senior technical expertise and specialist support across the Group's IT infrastructure, systems, Microsoft 365 environment, networking, and cybersecurity. The role is responsible for resolving complex technical issues through root cause analysis, implementing and maintaining secure and reliable technology solutions, and supporting the IT Manager in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Group's IT environment across all Lona Group entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the third-line technical escalation point across all entities, sites, and support categories, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
- Administer the hybrid Microsoft 365 / Exchange Server environment, Entra ID identity platform, and the email security and authentication stack.
- Manage endpoint device deployment and policy via Intune, across Windows, Android Enterprise and iOS platforms.
- Administer the FortiGate firewall fleet, UniFi network estate, and site-to-site connectivity across all locations.
- Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware virtualisation, storage, and backup/data-protection platforms.
- Lead security incident response, vulnerability remediation, and environment hardening initiatives.
- Develop PowerShell automation scripts to a dry-run, evidence-based standard, supporting integration for line-of-business systems.
- Lead technical delivery of infrastructure projects and mentor regional support technicians.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 6–8+ years’ experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles, demonstrating senior-level ownership of a comparable environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with hybrid Exchange / Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Fortinet firewalls, Windows Server / Active Directory, and VMware.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting with a proven track record of structured, evidence-based change execution.
- Security operations experience, including incident response, log analysis, and hardening, is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications are advantageous, including Microsoft (MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300), Fortinet NSE 4+, VMware VCP, and ITIL.
- Valid driving licence with the willingness to undertake periodic travel to Group sites, including packhouse, cold store, and farm environments.
