Pastry Chef | Cape Town | Boutique Hotel & Restaurant We’re seeking a skilled and creative PASTRY CHEF to join the culinary team at a new boutique hotel opening in Mouille Point, Cape Town. The hotel’s restaurant will showcase modern Greek and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine ; complemented by refined pastry and dessert offerings to elevate the guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical skill, and reliability, with proven ability in plated desserts, viennoiserie, and modern pastry techniques. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and consistency are essential to deliver excellence across both hotel and restaurant service. Experience & Qualifications Pastry expertise in plated desserts, viennoiserie, and laminated doughs Chocolate and sugar work including tempering, garnishes, and showpieces Mediterranean dessert knowledge such as baklava, kataifi, and yogurt-based specialties Premium dining background preferred, with strong presentation and culinary discipline Ability to manage a pastry section independently while supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef Key Responsibilities Menu development : Create seasonal dessert menus aligned with the restaurant’s Greek-Mediterranean concept Production management : Oversee daily pastry preparation, bakery schedules, and inventory Quality control : Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene across all pastry outputs Collaboration : Work closely with the brigade to integrate pastry offerings into the overall dining experience Innovation : Introduce modern techniques, creative plating, and signature desserts Event support : Develop bespoke pastry offerings for hotel events, banquets, and private dining Salary R15 – 18 000, depending on experience and skills – no additional benefits To apply for Pastry Chef | Cape Town | Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, please send your CV WITH UP-TO-DATE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY AND INSERTED FULL-LENGTH PHOTO.
