Senior Guide / Maintenance – Greater Kruger
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Field Guide to join a prestigious luxury private game reserve in the Greater Kruger area. This live-in role is ideal for a knowledgeable and passionate guide with extensive experience in Big 5 safaris and all aspects of bush management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct guided game drives and bush walks, providing engaging and educational experiences for guests.
Share in-depth knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation through storytelling and interpretive guiding.
Ensure the safety and well-being of guests, including children, during all activities.
Assist with general maintenance duties around the property as required.
Maintain and manage own equipment, including firearms, in accordance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with the lodge team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements:
NQF4 qualification in Field Guiding or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Big 5 safari areas.
Extensive knowledge of wildlife, flora, and bushcraft.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Experience conducting guided walks and working with guests of all ages.
Own rifle and valid firearm licence.
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently as part of a team.
Package & Benefits:
Salary: R15,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
Live-in accommodation provided.
Food allowance of R750 per month.
Uniforms supplied.
Work cycle: 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
