The Vision
The Role This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership position. You will be the custodian of the property’s aesthetic and operational integrity. You aren't just managing a building; you are curating an experience for high-expectation guests while ensuring a multi-million rand asset is maintained to "show-ready" standards 365 days a year.
1. Guest Experience & Curation
The Welcome: Manage 5–10 hosted check-ins per month, acting as the face of the property.
Storytelling: Conduct art and architecture walkthroughs, sharing the design narrative of the home.
Presence: Provide discreet, professional in-stay support and expert service recovery.
2. Property Standards & Aesthetics
White-Glove Oversight: Ensure the villa consistently meets luxury hospitality standards.
Turnover Management: Coordinate seamless transitions between guests, ensuring every detail—from floral arrangements to linen—is perfect.
Show-Ready Maintenance: Maintain the property in a state of constant readiness for media or VIP viewings.
3. Team & Supplier Management
Leadership: Manage and mentor the on-site housekeeping team.
Vendor Relations: Oversee specialist service providers (landscaping, pool, security) to ensure work meets the portfolio’s high benchmark.
Maintenance End-to-End: Source and compare quotes, supervise contractors, and sign off on technical quality.
4. Commercial & Administrative Excellence
Booking Hygiene: Manage enquiries and calendars across platforms (Airbnb, Perfect Hideaways, Direct).
Financial Tracking: Maintain organized records of supplier invoices, operational costs, and travel expenses.
5. Portfolio Growth (The Future)
Develop repeatable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for future acquisitions.
Scale the supplier network and support the hiring of staff as the portfolio expands.
Experience: 5+ years in high-end hospitality (Boutique Hotels, Luxury Villa Management, or Premium Short-Term Rentals).
Proximity: Must reside within 15–20 minutes of Camps Bay for rapid operational response.
The "Eye": A deep appreciation for design and an obsession with detail.
Technical Savvy: Comfortable with booking platforms, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
Logistics: Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Demeanor: Calm under pressure, discreet, and comfortable interacting with high-net-worth individuals.
Working Pattern: This is a mid to senior role requiring flexibility. While typical hours are 08:00 – 18:00, the nature of luxury hospitality requires on-call availability for emergencies and guest support during stays. This role sits above the BCEA earnings threshold.
