Job Summary
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements within the online gaming environment, including sports betting and online casino operations. The role involves managing compliance frameworks, mitigating risk, and ensuring all business activities align with applicable South African laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to South African regulatory requirements within the iGaming and betting industry
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organization
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Compliance and Risk Management within:
- Sports betting
- Online casino
- iGaming industry
- Strong knowledge of the South African regulatory environment
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Compliance, Law, Finance, or a related field
- Financial services or accounting background
