Job Summary
Position Summary A restaurant manager in a hotel setting is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel's restaurant(s), ensuring smooth and efficient service, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and profitability. This includes managing staff, handling customer service, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: · Operational Management: Supervising daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. Coordinating staff schedules, training, and performance management. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency. · Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer complaints effectively. Monitoring food quality and service delivery to maintain high standards. Creating a welcoming and positive dining experience for guests. Management: Shows a good knowledge of the POS system Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales, expenses, and profitability. Developing and managing budgets, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue. · Staff Management: Recruiting; hiring, and training new staff members. Motivating and leading the restaurant team to achieve high performance. Providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews. · Hotel Integration: Collaborating with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless guest experience. Participating in hotel-wide events and promotions. Ensuring the restaurant aligns with the overall hotel standards and branding. Making use of the PMS and conferencing system of the Hotel · Other Responsibilities: Planning and organizing special events, such as banquets or parties. Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract customers. Staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities. Menu planning and costings Skills and Qualifications: · Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role. · Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. · Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. · Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management. · Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. · Understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. · Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive work environment.
