Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Restaurant General Manager Restaurant Group - Cape Town - Western Cape An established restaurant group is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the daily operation of its flagship brands while providing operational oversight and support to an additional Cape Town outlet. With a successful 17-year trading history and an exciting expansion strategy, the group requires an independent operator who can protect its established philosophy, strengthen systems and raise operational standards. Job Description & Requirements: Take full ownership of day-to-day restaurant operations across the flagship brands. Provide operational guidance and support to an additional high-volume outlet. Maintain consistently high standards of food, service, cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Implement effective operational systems, controls and checklists. Oversee stock control, purchasing, ordering, portion control and waste management. Manage food, beverage, labour and operating costs against agreed budgets. Complete financial reports, invoices, payroll information and administrative duties accurately. Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability. Manage staffing levels, shift schedules and labour costs. Recruit; onboard, train, motivate and performance-manage restaurant employees. Provide clear leadership during busy services and resolve operational challenges promptly. Maintain food safety, hygiene, health and workplace safety standards. Investigate guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally. Protect company assets and ensure appropriate security procedures are followed. Keep senior leadership informed of operational risks, results and improvement opportunities. A strong record of successful restaurant management is essential. Thorough knowledge of stock control, financial management and restaurant operating systems is required. Proven leadership, staff management and performance-management ability. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of financial results. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently, maintain urgency and lead from the floor. Comfortable managing a high-pressure, hands-on restaurant environment. Cape Town based with eligibility to work in South Africa. A valid driver’s licence is required. A relevant hospitality or business qualification is advantageous. Package Salary: R50 000 - R60 000 negotiable per month, depending on experience Accommodation: Live-out
