Role Overview: A senior operational role responsible for managing the full reservations function, driving occupancy and revenue performance, and ensuring seamless guest and agent communication within a luxury safari lodge environment. ? Key Responsibilities: ? Reservation Operations: • Manage daily reservation activities for individual and group bookings • Ensure accurate loading of all bookings into the PMS/reservation system • Monitor room inventory, availability, and allocation • Manage amendments, cancellations, and special booking requests • Maintain accurate guest and booking records ? Revenue & Yield Management: • Maximise occupancy and revenue through strategic rate management • Monitor booking trends, demand, and occupancy forecasts • Support implementation of pricing strategies with management • Identify opportunities to optimise revenue performance ? Team Management: • Supervise and train reservations staff • Maintain high standards of communication and professionalism • Manage schedules and workflow within the department • Support performance development and coaching ? Guest & Agent Relations: • Respond to guest and travel agent enquiries via email, phone, and booking platforms • Maintain strong relationships with trade partners and operators • Communicate special requests to relevant lodge departments • Ensure a seamless pre-arrival guest experience ? Reporting & Administration: • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and guest data • Support sales and marketing with promotions and availability updates • Ensure data accuracy across all systems ? Cross-Department Coordination: • Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Operations teams • Communicate VIP arrivals, group bookings, and special requirements • Support smooth arrival and departure logistics ? Skills Required: • Strong understanding of reservations systems (PMS) • Revenue and occupancy management awareness • Excellent communication and guest service skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Leadership and team development ability • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills ? Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management (preferred) • 3–5 years’ experience in reservations within luxury hospitality • Experience in lodge or hotel environment essential • Strong system and booking platform knowledge • Proven ability to manage teams and workflows ?
