Job Summary
A well-established hotel in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead a busy hotel F&B operation. This role requires a strong hotel operator with proven experience managing high-volume service while consistently delivering 5-star standards across all food and beverage outlets. The position is operational and hands-on, suited to a leader who is visible during service, confident managing teams, and commercially aware. Minimum Requirements Candidates must meet the following criteria: Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager within a hotel environment Experience delivering 4- and 5-star service standards Strong background in high-volume hotel food and beverage operations Experience managing multiple outlets (restaurants, bars, banqueting and/or room service) Proven people management experience leading large teams Strong financial understanding (COS, stock control, labour, budgeting) Willing and able to work shifts ; including weekends and public holidays South African ID Matric (Grade 12) Relevant Hospitality / Food & Beverage Management qualification Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s Food & Beverage department Ensure consistent service quality and standards across all outlets Lead; train, and performance-manage F&B managers, supervisors, and teams Control food and beverage costs, stock levels, and departmental budgets Oversee service delivery during peak trading periods Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally Work closely with the kitchen and hotel operations teams Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Drive continuous improvement in service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction Ideal Candidate Profile Strong operational hotel F&B leader Calm; decisive, and organised under pressure Guest-focused with a commercial mindset Comfortable leading from the floor in a busy hotel environment Only candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be considered.
