? ASSISTANT LODGE MANAGER | LUXURY SAFARI LODGE | KRUGER NATIONAL PARK ? Kendrick Recruitment is excited to be recruiting an exceptional Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge located in the heart of the Kruger National Park. This role is perfectly suited to a passionate hospitality professional who is ready to take the next step in their lodge management career while living and working in one of Africa’s most iconic wilderness areas. ✨ The Role The Assistant Lodge Manager will work closely with the Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations and deliver a deeply personalised, world-class guest experience in line with the lodge’s service vision and creative concepts. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, impeccable attention to detail, and a genuine love for luxury safari hospitality. ? Key Responsibilities Include: * Assisting in the overall management of the lodge and reporting directly to the Lodge Manager * Ensuring outstanding guest relations with warm, “at home” personal attention * Leading, training, and developing lodge staff to exceptional service standards * Maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping, maintenance, and gardening throughout the lodge * Managing orders, stock control, and assisting with financial administration * Overseeing concierge and reception operations, including daily administration * Maintaining the guest database to support service excellence * Ensuring guest and service areas are immaculate, organised, and fully prepared * Ensuring the correct care and quality of all equipment and products * Actively supporting and communicating the lodge’s conservation ethos * Assisting across departments as required in a collaborative, multi-skilled environment ? Skills & Experience Required: * Minimum of 4 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, ideally including trainee management and time spent in a recognised five-star hotel or world-class safari lodge * Strong Food & Beverage knowledge with awareness of dietaries and allergies * Sound financial and stock management ability * Exceptional service standards and passion for the hospitality industry * Excellent command of English (spoken and written); an additional language is advantageous * High level of computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet) * Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills * Calm, resourceful, and solution-oriented under pressure * Good understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedures * Flexible, cooperative, and committed to developing staff * Valid citizenship or working visa ?
