Maintenance Supervisor – Luxury Boutique Lodge – Welgevonden A luxury boutique lodge in Welgevonden is looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the lodge, guest areas, staff facilities, vehicles and equipment. This is a live-in position suited to someone who is technically skilled, solutions-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote safari environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage preventative and corrective maintenance across the lodge. Conduct regular inspections and attend to maintenance issues promptly. Carry out hands-on repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding and general maintenance. Maintain generators, solar systems, boreholes, pumps, water filtration, sewage systems and firefighting equipment. Supervise; train and motivate the maintenance team. Allocate daily and weekly tasks and monitor work completed. Ensure guest-facing areas are maintained to luxury standards. Respond promptly to guest-related maintenance issues. Work closely with Housekeeping and Front of House to resolve maintenance concerns. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and ensure emergency and safety equipment remains operational. Support lodge sustainability initiatives relating to water, power and waste management. Requirements: Minimum 3–5 years’ maintenance experience, preferably within a safari lodge or remote hospitality environment. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong knowledge of general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently. Trade qualification such as electrician, plumber or carpenter will be advantageous. Knowledge of generators and water treatment systems preferred. Valid driver’s licence required. Good leadership, planning and communication skills. High attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies. Package ? R13,000 per month CTC ?
