Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie for a luxury guest farm based in Franschhoek. This role is well suited to a creative chef who values collaboration, honest produce, and meaningful guest interaction.
The successful candidate will work closely with visiting chefs from around the world and be comfortable engaging with guests in a warm, natural manner, occasionally welcoming them into the kitchen to share in the cooking experience, much like hosting in one’s own home.
Key Responsibilities
Implement daily menus aligned with the farm’s culinary philosophy
Make full use of seasonal, garden-driven produce
Communicate regarding available produce and harvesting
Adapt menus creatively and flexibly to accommodate guest dietary requirements
Deliver consistently excellent food and service
Maintain a calm and focused presence in a high-pressure environment
Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
Remain organised, efficient, and able to multitask
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the culinary industry
Strong interest and experience in plant-based cooking
An interest in or understanding of medicinal herbs is advantageous
Confident, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests
Excellent communication and listening skills
Passion for beautiful, honest produce and thoughtful cooking
