? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is recruiting on behalf of a luxury safari lodge portfolio, situated within a world-renowned private game reserve, for an experienced and operationally excellent ????? ??????? for one of their Lodges Our client is a five-star safari destination operating at the very pinnacle of the luxury lodge sector. Set within one of South Africa’s most prestigious private game reserves, this property is synonymous with exceptional wildlife, uncompromising service standards and a guest experience that consistently ranks among the finest on the continent. This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished hospitality leader to step into a senior operational role at a property where excellence is not aspirational — it is the benchmark. Reporting to the General Manager, the Lodge Manager will take full accountability for the day-to-day operations of the lodge — leading a multi-disciplinary team with a clear focus on service excellence, guest relations and staff development. Key responsibilities include maintaining the deeply personal, “at-home” guest experience for which the lodge is celebrated; overseeing recruitment, inductions, onboarding and performance management; effective financial oversight through stock control and order administration; ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping, maintenance and gardening; and managing concierge and reception operations. The role also carries responsibility for equipment and product quality, seamless interdepartmental communication, and active participation in the lodge’s sustainability objectives and conservation purpose. ???????????? · A minimum of 6 years’ hospitality management experience, with a proven track record in a five-star lodge or internationally recognised luxury hotel environment. · Outstanding service standards and a genuine passion for the luxury hospitality industry. · Thorough Food & Beverage knowledge, including product terminology and preparation methods; an awareness of dietary requirements and allergies is essential. · Sound financial management ability, including stock control and order administration. · Excellent command of English; proficiency in a second language would be advantageous. · Strong management and communication skills with a developmental, empowering approach to leading and growing a team. · A solid understanding of housekeeping and maintenance procedures and standards. · Knowledge of basic labour law, disciplinary procedures and HR best practices. · Good computer literacy and sound reporting ability. · An awareness of current trends and developments within the luxury lodge and food industries. · An assertive, patient and highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail. · A hardworking, cooperative nature and calm demeanour under pressure. · A valid Driver’s licence. · A stable employment history and contactable references. ?????? – On application with live in benefits ?PLEASE NOTE – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
