Our client is an ultra-luxury, exclusive-use safari lodge set within a private reserve near Hoedspruit, offering a highly personalised safari experience for discerning guests. Designed as a private safari residence rather than a traditional lodge, this property offers complete exclusivity, tailored service, exceptional food and beverage experiences, private guiding, and a strong focus on detail, discretion and guest comfort. We are looking for a warm, capable and guest-focused Lodge Anchor with a strong leaning towards food and beverage. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys hosting, service, guest interaction and being involved in the smooth day-to-day running of a luxury lodge. The successful candidate will support the guest experience across hosting, F&B service, lodge administration, room checks and operational coordination. Key Responsibilities: Host and assist guests throughout their stay Support the F&B operation, including meal service, drinks service, table setup and guest hosting Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, sundowners, private dining and special setups Communicate guest preferences and dietary requirements to the kitchen and management team Assist with arrivals, departures, check-ins and guest orientation Conduct guest area and room checks to ensure everything is beautifully prepared Support lodge management with daily operational tasks Assist with stock control, ordering and general lodge administration where required Liaise between kitchen, housekeeping, butlers and management to ensure smooth service delivery Maintain a calm, polished and professional guest presence Step in across departments when needed in a small lodge team environment Requirements: Previous experience as a Lodge Anchor, Guest Relations Assistant, F&B Assistant, Butler or similar Strong food and beverage service experience essential Luxury lodge or boutique hotel experience advantageous Confident guest interaction and hosting skills Good admin and organisational ability Well-presented; professional and warm Strong attention to detail Hands-on; flexible and willing to assist wherever needed Able to work well in a small team Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment
