Kendrick Recruitment is tracking down a bold, experienced, and passionate Lead Trails Guide to join the ranks of an elite guiding team at a luxury lodge deep within the wild heart of the Kruger National Park. If the bush is your second home and guiding is your greatest passion – this one’s for you! ? This is no ordinary guiding role – we’re talking full throttle bush magic with a leadership twist. You’ll be the right-hand to the Head Guide and the heartbeat of the safari department when they’re not around. From epic walking safaris to mentoring the next generation of guides, you’ll be setting the standard and raising the bar every day. ? Your trail of responsibilities includes: ? Leading guests on unforgettable game drives and interpretive bush walks ? Overseeing equipment, vehicle maintenance, and all things safari ops ? Managing the guiding team – mentoring, training, motivating and leading by example ? Capturing and contributing to social media content that brings the bush to life ? Ensuring top-tier safety, guest delight, and that all touchpoints deliver wow-factor ? Keeping track of diesel levels, safari consumables, guiding gear – and ensuring it’s all bush-ready ?️ Being the go-to communicator for all things wild – guest insights, safety, conservation and more ? What you’ll need to thrive: ✅ FGASA Level 1 (minimum) + Full Trails Guide qualification ✅ ARH, Rifle Proficiency, First Aid Level 1, valid driver’s licence + PDP ✅ Strong guiding knowledge with a love for mentorship and team growth ✅ Stellar people skills, EQ, bush savvy and a calm head under pressure ✅ Attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a curious, generous spirit ✅ Previous experience in a leadership guiding role (or ready to take the leap!) ✅ Bonus: General technical/mechanical know-how for all those safari surprises! ?
