Nestled within the scenic UNESCO-recognised Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, this exclusive luxury boutique lodge is preparing for its highly anticipated reopening in 2026. The property is currently undergoing an extensive redevelopment, including the construction of new guest suites and the complete rebuild of the main lodge. The redesigned facilities will feature a modern, thoughtfully curated layout, including a new kitchen, bar, dining area, and elegant guest spaces, all designed to support an elevated lodge experience blending refined hospitality, warm personalised service, and authentic safari moments. The lodge will accommodate up to twenty international guests, offering exclusive seven-night fixed-stay safari experiences arranged through its established European ownership and agency network. This is a support‑focused role responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth operations in the lodge’s back‑of‑house areas. The ideal candidate is mature, disciplined, and able to work independently while supporting the housekeeping and kitchen teams. Daily responsibilities include assisting with room servicing, laundry operations, scullery duties, and general lodge cleanliness. This role is essential to ensuring that guest‑facing teams can operate efficiently and that the lodge maintains high hygiene and presentation standards. You will work under the supervision of the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with the housekeeping and kitchen teams. A positive, team‑first attitude is essential, especially during busy periods or operational pressure. Understanding or speaking of the Afrikaans language Own vehicle Valid driver’s licence ??? ???????????????? Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Wash; dry, fold, and organise guest linen, towels, and staff uniforms. Sort; categorise and store laundry correctly (colours, fabric types, guest vs. staff linen, treatment required items). Perform spot removal and pre-treat stains using approved products and methods. Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the laundry room. Track linen usage and report shortages to the Operations & Guest Experience Lead. Deliver clean laundry to the correct rooms or departments. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the scullery area. Assist the kitchen team with basic tasks during busy service periods. Ensure correct storage and rotation of cleaning materials. Support with waste management and recycling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and order in staff offices, corridors, storage rooms, and BOH spaces. Assist with scheduled deep cleaning tasks in non-guest areas. Ensure hygiene standards are upheld across all operational zones. Report maintenance issues promptly. Keep outdoor operational areas tidy, including pathways, service yards, and waste zones. Support with basic outdoor cleaning tasks as required. Ensure all external workspaces remain safe, clean, and functional. Assist the housekeeping team with room servicing during busy periods. Support with turn downs, urgent resets, and guest ready preparations. Maintain a positive, team first attitude when stepping into guest facing support tasks. ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? The lodge is located within approximately 30km of Vaalwater, reached via a mostly rugged gravel road - successful candidates must be able to arrange their own transport for days off and personal errands. This is a remote, on‑site living position with single accommodation; candidates must be comfortable living in a quiet, rural environment. Due to the nature of the accommodation and operational requirements: family, children and pets cannot be accommodated. Must have access to Whatsapp video / Zoom / Microsoft Teams for initial interviews. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in‑person interview at the property.
