Our client, an established group of companies specializing in commercial property, is seeking a seasoned Property Accountant with payroll expertise to assume a pivotal role in their finance team. Duties:

• Manage the full monthly bookkeeping cycle up to trial balance

• Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries

• Compile management accounts and annual financial statements

• Handle VAT 201 submissions, reconciliations, and EMP201 filings

• Calculate and submit tax returns via e-filing systems

• Oversee tenant billing functions and full payroll administration

• Manage debtors and creditors ledgers, cashbooks, and invoicing

• Prepare month-end payments and allocate bank transactions

• Verify petty cash expenses and perform tenant and account reconciliations

• Contribute to general financial administrative functions and audit preparations

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of expereince as a Property Bookkeeper/Accountant.

• BCom Degree in Financial Accounting or an equivalent qualification - advantagious.

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles with at least 3 years of post-article experience - highly advantagious but not required.

• Hands-on experience in payroll administration.

• Proficiency in Pastel Accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting expertise.

• Ability to perform detailed reconciliations and financial analysis.

• Previous experience within the property industry
