Human Resources Business Partner | Luxury Lodge | Sabi Sands Salary: Negotiable DOE Accommodation: Live-In Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Business Partner for a luxury lodge based in Sabi Sands. This hands-on role requires a professional who combines emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and strong administrative capability to lead all on-site HR functions. Working closely with the General Manager and department heads, the successful candidate will help cultivate a high-performance, people-first culture while ensuring full compliance with South African labour legislation and company standards. Minimum Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology (NQF 6–7) • Minimum 5+ years’ HR Generalist experience, preferably within hospitality or luxury service environments • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, including experience within unionised environments • Experience with HRIS systems such as Sage or ESS • High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and discreetly • Strong communication and coaching skills • Highly organised with strong attention to detail • Flexible and adaptable, willing to work evenings or weekends when required Key Responsibilities: People Operations & Employee Support • Serve as the primary HR contact for all day-to-day people-related queries • Partner with the General Manager and department heads to build a positive, high-performance culture • Promote a consistent and human-centred employee experience across departments Recruitment & Onboarding • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle in line with company procedures and labour legislation • Coordinate structured onboarding programs aligned with operational and brand standards Performance Management & Employee Relations • Support performance management processes including KPIs, probation reviews, and appraisals • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures and grievances • Liaise with shop stewards or unions where required and assist with wage negotiations • Coach line managers on industrial relations matters with professionalism and legal awareness Training & Development • Identify skills gaps and coordinate internal and external training initiatives • Monitor compliance with Employment Equity and Skills Development requirements • Support succession planning and development of internal talent pipelines Compliance & HR Administration • Maintain HR records including contracts, performance documentation, and leave registers • Prepare payroll input and liaise with central payroll for accurate processing • Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, Employment Equity Act, and internal policies • Maintain up-to-date documentation, job descriptions, and HR SOPs This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional who is passionate about people development and organisational culture, and who thrives in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment.
