Housekeeping Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge | Near Hoedspruit Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Manager for a luxury safari lodge near Hoedspruit This live-in role offers the opportunity to oversee all housekeeping operations while ensuring exceptional standards across guest-facing and back-of-house areas. Requirements: · Minimum 3 years’ supervisory housekeeping experience, preferably in a lodge or remote environment · Strong organisational, training, and people management skills · High attention to detail, especially in luxury guest-facing areas · Knowledge of hygiene standards, chemical usage, and laundry systems · Computer literate (Outlook, Word, stock/inventory systems) · Fluent in English; other local languages an advantage · Valid driver’s licence and live-on-site Key Responsibilities: · Oversee all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and staff accommodation · Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence · Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure standards are maintained · Manage linen, cleaning products, guest amenities, and housekeeping stock, ensuring accurate inventory and par levels · Liaise with suppliers and track departmental spending within budgetary guidelines · Implement environmentally responsible cleaning practices and enforce health and safety compliance · Identify maintenance issues, report, and follow up to resolution · Support guest experiences through VIP room preparation, honeymoon turndowns, and special requests · Maintain and report on housekeeping equipment and machinery · Perform additional duties as assigned by lodge management Package: · Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience · Accommodation: Live-in provided To apply, please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo Please note: Only candidates meeting the listed requirements will be contacted.
