Job Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, ambitious, and hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead the complete operation of an established hotel in the Northern Cape. We are looking for a young, up-and-coming hospitality professional who is ready to take ownership of all aspects of hotel management and work closely with the owner to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day management of the entire hotel operation. Lead; motivate, and develop the hotel team. Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high hospitality standards. Manage budgets, financial performance, stock control, and cost management. Ensure efficient front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance operations. Recruit; train, and manage staff. Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and health & safety standards. Develop strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and profitability. Report directly to the owner on operational and financial performance. Minimum Requirements SA Citizen Grade 12 / Matric Qualification Hospitality management qualification Previous management experience in the hospitality industry (hotel or lodge experience preferred). Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs. A hands-on management style with the ability to lead by example. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (spoken and written). Valid driver's licence. Willingness to live on-site in the Northern Cape. Knowledge about tourism in the area will be highly advantageous. We Offer Competitive salary (negotiable according to experience).
