Hostess Managers | JHB | Premium Hospitality Group A leading hospitality group is seeking elegant, organized, and high-energy HOSTESS MANAGERS to lead the front-of-house arrival teams at their flagship locations in Bryanston and Parkhurst . The Role The Hostess Manager is the "Face of the House." This role goes beyond traditional seating; it requires a strategic lead who can manage complex floor plans, oversee a team of hostesses, and maintain a seamless flow of guests in high-volume settings. You will be responsible for the first and last impression of the restaurant, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Supervise and train the hostess team to ensure impeccable grooming, etiquette, and service standards. Reservations Management: Oversee the reservation system (e.g., Dineplan, OpenTable), managing table rotations and optimizing floor capacity during peak periods. Guest Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for guest arrivals, VIP handlings, and telephonic inquiries. Floor Coordination: Work closely with Floor Managers and the kitchen to communicate arrival flows and manage waitlists effectively. Administrative Accuracy: Ensure the database is maintained with accurate guest preferences and special occasion notes to personalize the dining experience. Candidate Requirements Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a Hostess or Front-of-House Lead role within a premium casual or fine-dining environment. Professionalism: Exceptional communication skills, a polished professional appearance, and a warm, welcoming demeanor. Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with digital reservation platforms and point-of-sale systems. Organizational Skills: The ability to remain calm and organized while managing large crowds and complex seating arrangements.
