A boutique hospitality group, based in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Financial Manager to join the team. Reporting to the owner, the Group Financial Manager, will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving strategic financial growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop; implement, and manage financial policies, procedures, and controls across the group Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing timely and accurate financial insights and recommendations to the management team Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to identify potential opportunities and areas for improvement Manage cash flows and working capital, optimizing financial resources and liquidity management Ensure compliance with tax regulations, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary Support the finance team in day-to-day operations, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth and development Requirements: SA Citizen Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a master's degree and/or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) would be advantageous Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, within the hospitality industry Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, standards, and regulations Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Proficiency in financial software and systems SAGE 300, MS Excel, OPERA) Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
