HEAD CHEF; LUXURY RESORT, MALDIVES · Property: Resort Boutique Hotel · Position: Live-in, remote island position · Location: Maldives · Contract Type: Full-Time | Live-In | 12-month renewable · Start Date: Immediate / Negotiable The Client: Our client is Maldives’ first luxury surf and dive tented resort, operating 25 guest tents. Our client delivers boutique, high-touch dining with a focus on local produce, sustainability, and elevated but approachable cuisine in a remote island setting. Role Overview: We require a hands-on, operational Head Chef to take full responsibility for the kitchen. This is a leadership and systems role, requiring someone who can: · Run a remote island kitchen independently · Implement and maintain HACCP and food safety standards · Control food cost and procurement logistics · Lead and train a small multicultural team · Deliver à la carte and event-style dining · Operate effectively within infrastructure and supply constraints Core Duties: · Full kitchen oversight (breakfast, lunch, dinner, events) · Menu development and costing · Supplier liaison and stock management · Staff training and performance management · Staff meal planning within budget · Maintenance of hygiene, SOPs, and cleaning systems Candidate Profile: · Proven Head Chef experience in boutique hotels, remote resorts, or similar environments · Strong financial understanding of GP%, costing, and stock control · Calm under pressure, solution-oriented · Comfortable living and working in a remote location · Strong leadership and mentoring capability Remuneration Details: · Salary will be offered in USD per month (DOE) · Accommodation is provided as part of the live-in arrangement · International flights and visa costs are employer-covered operational expenses · Any bonus structure will be discretionary and performance-based Apply: Email your updated CV, Motivation and Food Profile to Zelda; Due to the high volume of CV’s received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
