This is a great leadership opportunity within the ultra-luxury safari sector. The properties are positioned in one of the world's most sought-after wilderness areas. The camps draws a highly discerning international clientele, and the standard of delivery is uncompromising at every level. Applications are invited from exceptional individuals and from proven management couples equally — what matters is the combined depth of operational, commercial, and guest-facing capability brought to the role. Reporting directly to Senior Management, this role carries full standalone accountability for the property — from P&L ownership and Gross Operating Profit delivery to guest experience, people leadership, asset protection, and regulatory compliance. This is a permanent, resident rotational position overseeing all operational departments: Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Front Office, Guest Activities, and Administration. The successful candidates will lead the monthly MIS review, manage departmental budgets, drive ancillary revenue capture, and maintain Forbes five-star standards across every guest touchpoint. The role is as much commercial as it is operational — whoever steps into this position must be equally confident presenting financial variances to ownership as personally greeting guests at the airstrip ???????????? • A minimum of eight to ten years' experience in luxury hospitality, with at least three years in a senior operational leadership role — Camp Manager, Hotel Manager, Resident Manager, Executive Assistant Manager, or equivalent. • Proven, hands-on P&L and Gross Operating Profit accountability within a standalone or remote property — demonstrable experience, not theoretical. • Prior experience in a safari lodge or luxury tented camp is strongly preferred. Candidates from an urban luxury background will be considered only where there is clear, evidenced understanding of remote bush operations. • Exposure to a major international hospitality brand framework is a significant advantage. • The ability to lead an MIS review, interrogate a P&L at line-item level, manage departmental cost budgets, and make sound commercial decisions independently — without real-time access to senior management. • Proficiency with property management and point-of-sale systems; familiarity with leading five-star brand platforms is advantageous. • A formal hospitality qualification. • Physical resilience, adaptability, and genuine comfort in a remote bush environment on an extended rotational schedule. • Fluent English is essential; working knowledge of Kiswahili is a meaningful advantage. • Strong interpersonal presence — the ability to earn trust and command respect through competence, with both an international guest profile and a remote operational team. • Management couples are warmly welcomed to apply. Where applying as a couple, the combined profile should demonstrate full coverage of the operational, commercial, and guest-facing requirements of the role, with clearly defined areas of individual responsibility. • Contactable references essential. ?????? – On application with live in benefits ????? – ASAP ??????? ???? – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required for this role.
