Our Financial Services in Insurance is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer with 8 years plus experience. You need a degree and relevent experience coming from Financial Services / Insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies within the insurance industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ability to implement effective compliance programs.
Salary negotiable
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional compliance certification
Minimum of 8 years of experience in compliance within the insurance industry or financial services sector.
In-depth knowledge of South African insurance regulations and compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Compliance Program Development
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment – Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Monitoring and Reporting Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs.
Investigations and Remediation – Lead investigations into compliance breaches or concerns and recommend corrective actions.
