Executive Sous Chef – Madagascar – Full-Time, Fixed Term (2 Years) Single expat package The Executive Sous Chef is a critical leadership position within the culinary team of a remote luxury island property. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food quality, operational excellence, and highly personalized guest experiences across all dining outlets. You'll lead a high-performing team, manage supply chains and kitchen costs, and ensure that sustainable, locally inspired practices are integrated into every aspect of kitchen operations. As part of the island’s leadership team, you will work closely with the Head Chef, Group Executive Chef, and cross-departmental teams to deliver a seamless guest experience while cultivating a supportive, motivated, and high-performing kitchen environment. Responsibilities: -Curate tailored culinary offerings for high-end clientele, delivering refined, personalized dining experiences that meet luxury standards. -Oversee the preparation of nutritious, well-balanced meals for staff, promoting overall health, morale, and team performance. -Collaborate daily with island leadership to ensure kitchen operations align with the broader strategic goals of the property. Requirements: -Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution. -Advanced Food Safety & Hygiene Certification. -Training in leadership, sustainability practices, and kitchen operations management. -5–7 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 3 years as Sous or Senior Sous Chef in a 5-star resort or luxury property. -Private island or remote luxury lodge experience strongly preferred.
