Our client in the Retail, Printing and Business Services Industry is seeking to employ a Service Ambassador / Shop Assistant to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Previous customer service, retail, administration, or shop assistant experience advantageous.
- Good computer literacy and ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including alternate Sundays (half day).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the shop is neat, clean, and fully operational before opening.
- Assist customers with photocopying, scanning, faxing, emailing, laminating, binding, plan printing, courier services, ID photos, and CV typing.
- Complete job cards accurately for all customer orders.
- Operate and assist customers with various printing and office equipment.
- Maintain stock levels of laminating sheets, binding materials, courier bags, till rolls, and stationery items.
- Follow up on outstanding customer work and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Contact customers regarding completed work awaiting collection.
- Promote additional services such as wide-format printing, T-shirt printing, wall vinyls, and other products.
- Manage customer files and maintain an organized desktop filing system.
- Handle incoming and outgoing courier parcels.
- Answer incoming telephone calls within three rings.
- Ensure counters, workstations, parcel shelves, and customer areas remain clean and organized.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash-ups, reporting, and store security.
- Complete online assessments and participate in ongoing product and service training.
- Adhere to company policies regarding professionalism, customer service, and cellphone usage.
Working Hours:
Shift rotations may include:
- 08:00 – 17:00
- 08:30 – 17:30
- 09:00 – 18:00
- 10:30 – 19:30
Alternate Sundays: Half-day shifts as required.
Remuneration:
- Salary: R6,000 – R7,000 per month (depending on experience and suitability).
