Corporate & MICE Sales Manager Head Office - Newlands Joining our Head Office Commercial Team as a Corporate & MICE Sales Manager ; you are a dynamic, results‑driven professional with a passion for corporate travel and events, exceptional relationship‑building ability, and strong commercial acumen. Reporting to the Group Head of Commercial – Marketing & Sales, you will manage and grow the corporate and MICE segments across the Petousis Hotel Group. Aside from this, you will serve as the primary liaison for corporate clients, travel management companies, and MICE partners across all properties, build and maintain strong key account relationships, and conduct structured account reviews to assess performance, opportunities, and risks. Leading the annual corporate and MICE contracting process; negotiating corporate rates, MICE packages, and commercial terms in line with revenue strategy, as well as overseeing contract execution and ensuring accurate documentation and record keeping, will form part of your responsibilities. You will identify and secure new corporate and MICE opportunities; grow share of wallet within existing accounts through upselling and cross‑property solutions, and represent the group at networking events, workshops, trade shows, and site inspections. Part of your role will be to collaborate with Revenue to align pricing, availability, and account profitability, and to collaborate with Reservations, Events, and Marketing to ensure seamless servicing and brand‑aligned communication. You will track and report on corporate/MICE sales performance, pipeline activity, and account production; provide regular insights to the Group Head of Commercial – Marketing & Sales; manage the corporate and MICE sales budget; monitor ROI on sales spend; and ensure effective use of resources. Maintaining accurate records of contracts, client correspondence, and account documentation is part of your duties. Where a degree/diploma in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing would be a bonus, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate and/or MICE hotel sales role within a 4*/5* environment is imperative. You also have proven experience managing corporate and MICE accounts, contracts, and client relationships with a strong knowledge of the South African corporate and events market . You are familiar with hotel PMS and sales systems (Opera, Cvent, Microsoft Office), hotel revenue management and contracting processes ; and have experience representing hotels/hotel groups at travel trade shows and industry events . Having a valid driver’s license is essential for this role. You will utilise your strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen to achieve outstanding results while maintaining a client-centred approach. Your ability to plan efficiently and demonstrate organisational awareness ensures smooth collaboration across teams.
