?JD Specialized Recruitment is currently assisting a dynamic and growing hospitality and travel group in the search for a strategic and commercially astute ????? ????????? ??????? PLEASE NOTE – Preference is for a candidate based in Gqeberha but candidates based in other South African locations will be considered. This senior leadership role is ideally suited to a Strategic Finance Leader who can confidently navigate the complexity of an asset intensive luxury lodge portfolio in Tanzania alongside the high volume, service driven revenue engine of a United States based travel agency. The position calls for a commercially sharp and operationally grounded executive who understands both the realities of remote hospitality operations and the pace of international travel distribution. Operating from South Africa, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the financial sustainability and performance of the group across South Africa, Tanzania and the United States. This will include guiding responsible growth and expansion planning, ensuring disciplined allocation of capital, and maintaining careful oversight of cash flow across multiple currencies. The role will also require the establishment of strong governance practices and clear reporting structures to ensure accurate, consolidated financial information across all jurisdictions. A key priority will be the development and ongoing management of a practical risk matrix, identifying financial, operational, regulatory and currency related risks, and ensuring that appropriate controls and safeguards are consistently implemented to protect the business. This position calls for an executive who can confidently move between detailed lodge level cost oversight and high-level board reporting, embedding consistent reporting routines, maintaining accurate and reliable financial data, and translating both hospitality performance indicators and travel distribution results into clear, commercially meaningful insight. The successful candidate will combine strategic clarity with strong operational understanding and will be motivated to support the long-term sustainability and disciplined growth of a multi country luxury travel group. Requirements • A recognised professional financial qualification such as CA (SA), CIMA, or an equivalent designation • 8 plus year’s in senior financial leadership within luxury hospitality, lodge operations or inbound tourism, including exposure to multi country structures and cross border financial management • Demonstrated experience operating within complex multi-currency environments, with the commercial insight to manage treasury exposure, liquidity planning and foreign exchange risk • A sound working knowledge of South African exchange control regulations and the practical implications for and intercompany transactions • Proven ability to establish disciplined reporting frameworks that deliver timely, accurate and decision ready financial information at executive and shareholder level • Experience strengthening governance and internal control environments across geographically dispersed or remote operations · Technically confident in modern cloud-based accounting platforms and comfortable aligning financial systems with operational and property management tools · A leadership style underpinned by emotional intelligence, clarity and accountability Salary – Based on Qualifications and Experience ➡️ ?????? ???? – Although we appreciated all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
