Job Summary
??? ??????????? ??????????? partnering with a well-established safari operation to recruit an experienced and dynamic ???? ??????? ??????? for a unique bush resort in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe. Preference will be given to Zimbabwean candidates. Set within one of Africa's great wildlife destinations, this is a distinctive property that operates quite differently to a traditional all-inclusive tented camp. Functioning as a bush resort, it welcomes a diverse mix of guests including walk-in visitors and day visitors alongside booked residents and operates on a partially cash-based model where guests can purchase a range of activities and extras during their stay. The candidate who thrives here will be equally comfortable with guest experience delivery and with the financial rigour that this type of multi-channel operation demands. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the property, leading a multi-departmental team across hospitality, guiding, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, spa, and retail. Balancing strong operational discipline with a warm, guest-facing presence will be central to this role, as will the ability to hold a team to high standards in a remote environment. This is a position for someone who is genuinely self-sufficient and bush-confident, with the maturity and experience to manage a complex, multi-revenue property without close oversight. Commercial awareness, logistical capability, and a love of the African wilderness are equally important to success here. Should there be a suitable couple, joint applications are welcome and the second salary will be considered separately. Requirements • A tertiary qualification in hospitality, tourism management or a related field. • At least 5 years of senior management experience in a lodge, camp or hotel environment, ideally with exposure to resort-style or mixed-revenue operations. • Proven financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, and overseeing cash-based transactions. • A natural leader with the ability to build, mentor, and hold a multi-departmental team to account in a remote setting. • Practical familiarity with off-grid systems including solar power, water supply, and sewerage infrastructure, with a willingness to develop this knowledge further. • Confident computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems. • A valid driver's licence with the ability and confidence to navigate off-road terrain. • A current first aid qualification, or a willingness to obtain one prior to taking up the position. • An appreciation of the natural environment, with sufficient knowledge of regional flora and fauna to engage meaningfully with guests. • Awareness of, or readiness to familiarise oneself with, the legislative framework governing safari tourism operations in Zimbabwe. Salary – On application plus live-in benefits PLEASE NOTE: Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required. Thank you.
